ABOUT ME

Hi my name is Lisa and I'm here to tell you how I came to create MathsFit.

​

With a background in education and having 2 active primary aged children I just knew I wanted to create a fun after school club that combines my 2 passions; sport/fitness with positive learning.

 

Many years ago I taught English abroad and I observed how play based learning encourages children to learn without realising because they were focused on having fun! 

 

I then spent 10 years delivering Ed tech solutions for maths and literacy. I trained pupils and teachers both in the UK and Australia how to use the World's leading e-learning platform for maths. From my experience I could see how confidence can affect children's ability to engage in Maths. Therefore by introducing it using different methods it boosted their confidence and with MathsFit they are active at the same time!

I love being active especially running, paddleboarding, skiing, pilates and walking my dog Fleur. I enjoy watching all sports in particular seeing my son and daughter play football.
